“Maldonado crashes, again…”

Spanish Grand Prix victor Pastor Maldonado endured an embarrassing accident during a celebratory run through the Venezuelan capital of Caracas.

The Williams driver spun on only his second lap of his demo run, collecting the kerbs along the city streets. Maldonado was not injured in the incident.

It marked yet another odd bump in Maldonado’s 2012 season, which has been characterised by numerous accidents amidst occasionally quick runs.

Apart from his win in Barcelona, the former GP2 Series champion has only scored points in one other Grand Prix, while teammate Bruno Senna has notched up six minor points finishes.
An incoming storm ended any chance of Maldonado resuming his run later in the day.
