“All change of the streets of Geneva?”
With the 85th Geneva International Motor Show beginning this week, the powers that be at Formula E secured a nice slice of the headlines, as former IndyCar driver Simona de Silvestro took to the streets in the SRT_01E machine; however, the running of the Formula E machine was not strictly the most interesting point of the day, but rather the announcement that a new law that is to allow motor racing back on Swiss grounds.

Williams Advanced Engineering this week announced a new partnership with Spark Racing Technology to design and build batteries to power the new-for-2014 FIA Formula E Championship.

It was announced this week that McLaren Electronic Systems are to provide electric engines, transmissions and ECU’s for the FIA’s new Formula E series.

Earlier this week, the FIA announced an agreement to licence the commercial rights of the burgeoning electric car championship to Formula E Holdings (FEH).
