And Now For Something Completely Different…

Not long after I returned home last night, a fellow Twitterer send me a link to take my mind off of the day’s travels.

What I received was possibly one most entertaining forms of motorsport that I have seen in a very long time – Trailer Racing!! Admittedly, it’s not very high tech and that the trailers look like they are made of paper, but for pure mindless entertainment value, it is pure gold.

The following “race” was taken from an event in Michigan a few years ago on a Figure of 8 paved circuit.

  1. Ohh Leigh…you haven’t seen anything yet…When you visits the states next year, Have I got the motor sports experience for YOU! Each year at the Decater county Fair (in south east Indiana) there is the Combine Demolition Derby. Scintilating action. Take your KERS, DRS, alternate tires compunds, P2P and non defence rule and stuff it this is real motorsport in its purest form…

FYI. Tony Stewart grew up a county west of here and started racing a county north…
